FreedomBudget: Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FreedomBudget (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. What the App does
FreedomBudget helps you track a personal budget. It creates a Google Sheets spreadsheet in your own Google Drive and reads from / writes to it directly. We do not operate servers that store your budget data. A Google account is required to use the App. All financial figures in the App are manually entered by you; the App is not connected to any bank and does not import or verify bank transactions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the App.
4. Your account & responsibilities
- You are responsible for your Google account and for keeping it secure.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the App.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring your own bills and payments are made on time. The App is a record-keeping and planning aid only; it does not make payments on your behalf.
- You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal budgeting purposes.
5. Notifications are best-effort
Any reminders or notifications the App provides are a convenience and are not guaranteed. Their delivery depends on your device settings, operating-system battery optimization, and notification permissions. You should not rely on App notifications as your sole means of remembering payments or financial obligations.
6. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
- FreedomBudget may be offered as a paid subscription (for example, a monthly plan following a free trial period). Current pricing and trial terms are shown in the App and on the Google Play listing.
- All billing is handled by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment-card details. Purchases, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are governed by Google Play’s terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play account settings.
- If you were invited as a partner to someone else’s shared budget, your access may be provided at no charge as part of their subscription.
- During testing or beta programs, the App may be provided free of charge; paid terms apply only once billing is active for your account.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law; (b) copy, resell, redistribute, or create derivative works of the App; (c) use the App to violate any law or third-party right; or (d) interfere with or disrupt the App or the Google services it relies on.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Freedom Financial App Development, LLC and is protected by copyright and other laws.
© 2026 Freedom Financial App Development, LLC. All rights reserved.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App under these Terms. You may not copy, clone, or reproduce the App or any part of it. The data you enter remains yours.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
- The App is a budgeting tool only and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
- The App’s balance and figures reflect your entered data only and are not linked to, reconciled with, or verified against any bank account.
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be free of inaccuracies.
10. Limitation of liability
Without limiting the above, we are not responsible for missed payments, overdraft or late fees, credit-score impacts, financial losses, or any inaccuracy in data you enter or in third-party services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
11. Third-party services
The App relies on Google services (Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Play). Your use of those services is also subject to Google’s own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability) will survive.
13. Changes to the App or these Terms
We may modify the App or these Terms from time to time. For material changes to the Terms, we will update the “Effective date” and provide notice in the App or store listing. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
