Contact: email support@freedomfinancialapps.com. Please include your device model and iOS/Android version, and a short description of what happened — we never need (and can’t see) your hours, pay rates, or earnings.

Getting started

  • A Google account is required. FreedomTimeCard creates your timecard as a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive and reads/writes it directly. If you don’t have one, create it at accounts.google.com.
  • Keep the Google Drive box checked at sign-in. Google lets you untick that permission while still signing in — if you do, the app can’t reach your timecard and will ask you to grant it again.
  • Add a job, then start a timer. Each job carries its own pay rate, rounding rule, and pay-period cadence. Tap Start when you begin and Stop when you finish; you can run more than one job at a time.
  • Where’s my data? Open Google Drive or Google Sheets any time to see the spreadsheet the app created — with or without the app installed.

Common questions

My hours are rounded differently than I expected

Rounding is set per job — to the minute, or up to the next 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Every option rounds up. The rule in force when you stop the timer is saved onto that session permanently, so changing a job’s rule later never rewrites hours you’ve already logged.

An overnight shift landed in the wrong pay period

A session belongs to the pay period it started in, so a shift that begins before your cutoff and ends after it is credited entirely to the earlier period. The app tells you when this happens. To split it, edit the session in History and add a second entry.

My estimated taxes show “Not configured”

That means no tax rates have been entered yet. FreedomTimeCard ships with no default rates — we won’t guess your tax situation. Enter the rates that apply to you in Settings, and the Dashboard will start estimating. These are simplified flat-rate estimates for planning, not tax advice.

I lost signal while clocking out — did I lose my hours?

No. A finished session is saved on your device first and queued if it can’t reach your Sheet, then synced automatically once you’re back online. You can also tap Retry on the banner. The app stays usable offline: your jobs and recent sessions are cached so you can always stop a running timer.

Why did my timecard switch to a new year?

FreedomTimeCard keeps one spreadsheet per calendar year. At the start of a new year it creates the new year’s timecard and carries your active jobs across; last year’s sheet stays in your Drive, untouched. Use Switch Timecard in the menu to look back at a previous year.

Billing, free trial & cancelling

Your first logged session is free. After that, FreedomTimeCard Premium is $2.99/month or $29.99/year, with a one-month free trial. Billing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play — manage or cancel in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

What happens to my data if I stop subscribing?

Nothing is deleted, hidden, or withheld. Your timecard is a Google Sheet in your own Drive — you can open, edit, and export it in Google Sheets whether or not you ever subscribe again.

Managing or deleting your data

Because your timecard lives in your own Google Drive, you’re always in control:

  • Delete your data: delete the timecard spreadsheet from your Google Drive.
  • Revoke app access: visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Turn off diagnostics: Settings → Privacy switches off crash and usage reporting.
  • Remove local settings: uninstall the app. We store nothing on our servers, so there’s nothing on our side to delete.

Notifications disclaimer

The long-running-timer reminder is best-effort and not guaranteed — delivery depends on your device and OS settings. Please don’t rely on it as your only way to remember to clock out.
