We’re Freedom Financial App Development, LLC — a small, independent studio building personal-finance apps that keep your data in your accounts, not ours. We’re looking for a handful of real people to use our apps on their own phones and tell us what’s wrong with them. Taking part is free, and we never ask you to buy anything.

What you’d be testing

  • FreedomBudget — iPhone and Android — a budgeting app for people who want to plan real paychecks against real bills, rather than watch a dashboard categorize the past.
  • FreedomTimeCard — iPhone and Android — tracks hours and pay across multiple jobs and writes them into a Google Sheet you own. Built for people whose work nothing else counts: trades billing hourly, private-client teachers and sitters, hourly employees who want their own record.

You can sign up for one or both. Take whichever is on the phone you actually carry — we need real daily use far more than we need someone dutifully working through a checklist.

What’s involved

  • You’ll get an invitation by email — through TestFlight on iPhone, or Google Play on Android. Both are the official channels Apple and Google provide for testing apps.
  • Install it, use it for whatever you’d normally use it for, and tell us when something is confusing, wrong, or annoying. A one-line email is genuinely useful; a screenshot is better.
  • No obligation and no minimum. Use it once and never again if it isn’t for you. You can leave the test at any time from TestFlight or Google Play, without telling us.
  • You never have to buy anything to take part. Our apps include a free trial that covers far longer than we’d ask you to test for, so you can use everything without subscribing.
  • If you do choose to subscribe, the two stores behave differently — please read this one. On iPhone, purchases made in a TestFlight build are simulated: you are not charged, and the subscription disappears when the test build expires. On Android, a subscription bought through Google Play is a real purchase on your own Google account. You will be charged the normal price, and it will keep renewing until you cancel it in Google Play — leaving the test does not cancel it. We’d rather tell you that plainly than have you find out on a statement.

What we ask for, and why

  • Your email address — this is how the store sends your invitation. It’s the only thing we genuinely need.
  • Which app and which phone — so we send the right invitation to the right store.
  • Your phone model and OS version — so we can tell whether a problem is in the app or specific to one kind of device. This is the single most useful thing you can give us beyond the app itself: a bug that appears on one screen size and not another is invisible to us until someone with that phone reports it.

Please use the right email address — this is the one thing that commonly goes wrong.

  • Android: it must be the Google account you’re signed into the Play Store with on that phone — not just any address you own. If they differ, the invitation resolves to “item not available” and there’s nothing on your end that will fix it.
  • iPhone: use the email for the Apple Account you use on that phone.

What we do with your details

  • We use your email to send you a testing invitation, and to reply if you write to us. That’s all.
  • We do not add you to a mailing list, and we don’t send marketing. There’s nothing to unsubscribe from.
  • We never sell or share your information with anyone.
  • We delete the sign-up list once testing for that app has finished. Ask us to remove you sooner and we will — email support@freedomfinancialapps.com.
  • Signing up doesn’t give us access to anything on your phone or in your accounts. What each app itself can see is spelled out in its privacy policy: FreedomBudget · FreedomTimeCard.

Fill this in and we’ll send an invitation. Spaces are limited on Android, so we may not be able to take everyone straight away — if we can’t, we’ll keep you on the list and come back to you.

If the form doesn’t load — some browsers and privacy extensions block embedded frames — email support@freedomfinancialapps.com with your phone model and which app you’d like to test, and we’ll sign you up by hand.
